Fundraising Meet and Greet Dinner
When our group was contacted about the artist signing we won, we were also told that we get to have a meet and greet with the artists the night before (8/27/10).
We were told we could meet with the artists at the store, go to dinner with them, or have a fundraising dinner.. guess what we chose... the FUNDRAISING DINNER!!
We decided that this was a wonderful opportunity to meet other ornament addicts like us, as well as benefit some local charities! We can't wait!
Our dinner is a "Southern Beach Party". We are going to have a fun time hanging out with the artists for a casual evening, eating some South Carolina BBQ, sampling a huge dessert table, as well as some fun games and prizes!
For me the best part will be meeting other ornament lovers and meeting the two amazing artists we are lucky enough to have come to our town!

Hallmark Meet and Greet Dinner 08/27/10
I set up this blog for the Carolina Keepsake Collectors Club. We are a local Hallmark Ornament club located in Greer, South Carolina. Our club has been in existence since 1989. We started with "Thoughts of You" as our sponsor store. We ended up moving to Amy's Hallmark when the owner retired and closed his store. Amy's was located in the Haywood mall. The store closed after a couple years. Our current store sponsor is Barbara's Hallmark.. their Greer store.
In January of this year, our club decided to enter the "100 years of Hallmark Local Club" contest. Our submission was a 4' x 3' card with pictures of our club activities over the years. It took quite a few hours and dollars, and much to our surprise we won an ARTIST SIGNING!!!
We are super excited, since we are getting TWO amazing artists visiting us!
The amazing SUE TAGUE and RUTH DONIKOWSKI will be visiting us on 8/28/10!
